Duvag (Evagelos Dukas) is a Greek contemporary visual artist and graphic designer, born in Northern Greece in 1974 and based in Athens, Greece.
He studied Graphic Design and Drawing, developing a strong foundation in visual composition, form and visual communication. He later built a career spanning more than 20 years in media, communication and advertising, working in television media and within an international media agency network.
Duvag's artistic practice explores the intersection of contemporary painting, abstraction, graphic design, photography and digital art. His work combines diverse visual elements, forms and references, drawing inspiration from popular culture, mass media, hard-edge abstraction, geometric forms, visual transitions and representational abstraction.
Working across both physical and digital media, he uses painting, drawing, photography, digital manipulation, collage and mixed-media techniques to construct, deconstruct and transform images. His approach reflects the influence of both his artistic practice and his professional background in graphic design, visual communication, media and advertising.
Through the ongoing DUVAG body of work, Evagelos Dukas has developed a distinctive visual language that moves between fine art and graphic design, analogue and digital processes, abstraction and representation.
